After graduating from Vilnius University with a bachelor of arts degree inlinguistics in 1985, I became a professional translator and editor in 1985 in thePublishing House „Vaga“. After Lithuania regained its Independence, I worked in the Security Departmentof the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania. From 1994 to 2004 I was translator/interpreter in various EU PHARE projects.Since 2004, when Lithuania joined the EU, I‘ve been freelancing in the field ofprofessional interpretation/translation.
